(upbeat music) - The Eccles Theater's annual Lights On!
holiday art installation includes a festive evening of tasty treats, performances from the Salt Lake Men's Choir and more.

So this is a great thing you do all in the lobby of the Eccles Theater.
- That's right.
The Lights On!
celebration is our way of kicking off the holiday season with the lighting of a non-traditional art installation.
This year's piece is entitled "Starfall" by Karl Hale, he's a local artist here and he's crafted this piece from recycled street signs so we're very excited to unveil it, light it up, and share it with the community over the holiday period.
We're kicking off that event with Lights On!
on November 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Eccles Theater grand lobby.
- That's great, okay, I'm so curious about the street signs.
So is it a hanging thing?
Where in the lobby will it be?
- It's rigged from the ceiling and it's about 20 feet tall, 10 feet wide and he's repurposed all these street signs into tiny little pieces that then will dance and it's just a brilliant testament to the power of recycling and crafting something beautiful from scraps.
- Ah, I love it.
I love it.
Okay, and then what else happens that evening?
- We have a musical program and that will be the Salt Lake Men's Choir will be performing and several talented musicians from the Gifted Music School, and then, like you mentioned earlier, we'll have lots of tasty treats for everyone from the community to enjoy.
- I love it, and you're also helping the food bank.
- Yeah, we're so excited to be partnering with the Utah Food Bank this year.
We're gonna collect non-perishable food items, starting with the kickoff event on November 20th, on Monday evening, and then we'll collect those items throughout the holiday period, December and January.
- Ah, it's wonderful.
