The 93-year-old Sumner Redstone is relinquishing his voting power on the board of Viacom, the massive entertainment conglomerate — in the latest succession drama that has tested relationships among some of the most powerful people in show business.
Redstone will continue to hold the title “chairman emeritus,” but will participate in future board meetings of Viacom in a nonvoting capacity, according to a filing Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
