Declan Donnelly Children: Isla Elizabeth, Anne Donnelly

Declan Joseph Oliver “Dec” Donnelly, OBE, was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, on September 25, 1975. He is a British television producer, presenter, former singer, comedian, and actor.

He gained the most notoriety when he joined Ant McPartlin in the presenting team Ant and Dec.

In the children’s drama series Byker Grove, Donnelly and McPartlin first gained notoriety, and both men went on to have prosperous careers as television hosts.

Alphonsus Donnelly and Anne Donnelly, who was born and raised in Northern Ireland’s Desertmartin before relocating to the British mainland in the 1950s and settling in Newcastle upon Tyne, are Donnelly’s parents.

He is one of the couple’s seven children, who were raised in Cruddas Park, a council estate.

Donnelly received his schooling at the all-boys St. Cuthbert’s High School, where he earned eight GCSEs, before moving on to St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Primary School.

He first pondered becoming a Catholic priest but changed his mind after witnessing the pupils from the all-girls Sacred Heart Catholic High School, even though he finally gravitated toward a career in television.
